ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary-General Asad Umar has said that ‘minus Imran Khan conspiracy will dent the national unity, ARY News reported on Monday.
Asad Umar, while talking to ARY News programme “The Reporters” today, said that the minus-formula for Imran Khan was a conspiracy to dent the national unity as people from all walks of life and languages were standing side-by-side with the PTI chief.
The PTI secretary-general said that the political rivals failed to witness their desired outcomes including changing the political realities of the country after lodging false cases against Imran Khan.

“They wanted to form a government in Punjab but faced failure as the nation elected Imran Khan. There is no need to scare us by using the name of Nawaz Sharif. PML-N [Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz] has bulldozed the ‘Vote Ko Izzat Do’ narrative by itself.”
“They had toppled the federal government by using money and they are trying to use the same tactics in Punjab. The country needs Imran Khan not only the PTI at this time.”
Asad Umar said that PTI has the constitutional right to lodge protests and nobody could stop the political party. He said, “If they stay in power, then it is beneficial for us as a political party. However, the country is facing losses because of the current rulers for forcedly extending their tenure.”
“We have always given the stance for prioritising the national interests instead of political gains. We want fresh elections in national interests as economic stability is impossible without political stability.”
The PTI leader said that there was no option other than organising fresh elections to end political instability in the country. Asad Umar said that the political rivals of PTI were frustrated by Khan’s popularity as they have even tried to stop the PTI chief’s telethon to raise funds for flood victims.
