KARACHI: Armed dacoits have looted three petrol pumps in nearly seven hours in different areas of Karachi on Monday, ARY News reported.

Three petrol pumps have been looted by armed dacoits within seven hours in different areas of the metropolis. Overall 2 million cash and weaponry were looted in the robbery incidents.

ARY News obtained CCTV footage and photos of the dacoits.

The first robbery was carried out at 6:30 am in the Sukhan area. Four muggers snatched arms from the security guard and later snatched Rs32,000 from the cashier.

The second robbery was carried out in the Al-Karam FC Area at 11:30 am. The robbers snatched 0.18 million cash from the petrol pump employees going to deposit the money in the bank.

The third incident was reported from Mominabad – Faqir Colony in which robbers looted cash from a filling station.

Earlier in the day, the suspect who allegedly opened fire and injured two citizens over robbery resistance in Gulshan-e-Hadid was arrested.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, the bandit, Shehzad, was arrested with the help of CCTV footage, meanwhile during the investigation, the culprit confessed to various robberies in Gulshan-e-Hadid and Shah Latif town.

The police officials recovered an illegal arm and multiple bullets from the possession of the accused robber.

The incident was reported in the Steel Town police station last night, after which the local police officers conducted a raid and arrested the culprit.
